Orchard mowers and vineyard mowers

An orchard mower is a rotary mower built to maintain the grass alleys between and under fruit trees and vines. PERFECT – Van Wamel has been the address for specialised orchard and vineyard mowers for almost 80 years, with a range that offers a suitable mower for almost every grower and plot worldwide.

Durable, reliable and flexible to use

For consistent mowing quality, PERFECT orchard mowers are fitted with double-sided blades made of special steel, designed for a long life under intensive use. Drive is by high-quality V-belts or, on the heavier models, a robust gearbox.

• Adjustable offset and overlap: an even cut without missing strips.
• Several mounting options: front, rear or combined with a sprayer, so mowing and spraying happen in one pass.
• Good ground following: an even result, also on uneven plots.

Which orchard mower fits your plot?

• Fixed working width: T series (low build), LF series on skids, RN series with side discharge, VINIMO series and the heavy-duty LK series and T-Rex with gearbox drive.
• Variable working width: DR/MV series and VT series, for plots with different row spacings.
• Mowing around trees and vines: RF series, FV2 series with swing discs for (organic) vineyards, berry farms and strawberry racks, and the double-sided MD series.
• Compact front mounting: TKF series, extra short to the tractor.
• Solar parks: SUNSWING, built to mow under and between solar panels.

Frequently asked questions about orchard mowers

What is an orchard mower?

An orchard mower is a rotary mower designed for fruit growing and viticulture. It keeps the grass alleys and tree strips short and even, with low build and good ground following.

What is the difference between an orchard mower and a vineyard mower?

Both maintain the grass between rows. Vineyard mowers are usually narrower and often have swing discs to mow between the vines. PERFECT offers both, for example the FV2 series for vineyards.

Can I mow around trees without damaging them?

Yes. The RF, FV2 and MD series have swing discs that move away from a trunk or post and return automatically.

Which orchard mower suits changing row spacings?

The DR/MV and VT series have an adjustable working width, so one machine fits plots with different row spacings.
